Lucy Pavalock Co-Founder & Business Development

Lucy Pavalock

Co-Founder & Business Development

Lucy grew up a free-spirited farm kid in upstate New York. She worked in restaurants through school and learned to appreciate the passion and hard work it takes to operate one successfully. A long time math geek, it was during her college years at SUNY Albany that Lucy worked her way into accounting and retail management. After a stint in the renewable energy sector, Lucy had the opportunity to test her entrepreneurial skills with Carolyn, establishing the business in 2002. Their traditional bookkeeping company has grown and evolved into the tech-focused firm now known as Prix Fixe Accounting. On the rare occasions when she is not working, she can be found hiking in the desert with her backpack and bottomless supply of Bulletproof coffee, foraging in the woods for mushrooms or enjoying a locally sourced meal with the two “foodie” daughters she shares with Carolyn.

Carolyn Jones Co-Founder

Carolyn Jones

Co-Founder

Carolyn, a graduate of Smith College, launched her business career at The Orchards Hotel in Williamstown where she began at the front desk but quickly worked her way through the reservations department, and then guest services before landing in the accounting department. She worked her way through the department and ended her stint there as Controller. She left The Orchards to become Controller at Catamount Pellet Fuel Corporation where she remained for nine years. It was at Catamount that she met Lucy and toward the end of their time at Catamount they hatched the idea of Prix Fixe Accounting. Carolyn is an avid (some might say rabid) New England Patriots fan and everyone knows to steer clear of her office on the rare occasion of a Pats loss.
